The Sony Cybershot DSC-W220 Digital Camera with its combination of Optical SteadyShot image stabilizer and High ISO sensitivity Mode compensates for shaky hands, minimizes blurring and allows for flash-free shooting by selecting one of up to eight ISO settings. The Optical SteadyShot image stabilizer utilizes a built-in gyro sensor to shift the lens to prevent blurring when detecting shaking.

There are 14 convenient photo modes that quickly adjust for specific shooting conditions, ranging from portraits to landscape to auto to high sensitivity. The Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) Mode automatically detects five different types of scenes and then selects the appropriate camera settings using one of two modes: Auto and Advanced. The advanced mode takes a picture with the standard automatic setting and then another one with a second setting if necessary. The Sony Cybershot DSC-W220 Digital Camera can detect up to eight faces, distinguish between children and adults and adjust the settings appropriately using its Face Detection technology.
